Norway gets CLIMATE TOURISTS

More and more people have realized that in order to escape the most extreme heat in their own country when the heat waves hit inland in Europe. Is Norway one of the few countries that still bears the mark of remaining in the ice age. A normal summer temperature rarely exceeds 20-25 degrees. However, it can occur in June, July and partly August that we reach some peaks of up to 28-30 degrees.

See an overview below here, running month by month, and possibly choose their city if you are thinking of visiting special places.

Rampestreken viewpoint in Åndalsnes

Several tourists we have spoken to state that the extreme heat in their home country in the most exposed months is the reason why Norway is a tempting place to acclimatize. In addition to the fact that Norway is a very beautiful country with spectacular natural experiences in a row. And several will also return to Norway next year to spend their holiday here. We have also spoken to several people who have visited the same places in Norway 4 years in a row. Something that of course we natives cannot fully understand. But when we Norwegians travel to sun and warmth in more southerly regions, the local residents there can't quite understand that we can lie flat on a beach for weeks.

Briefly summarized after we have spoken to some hotels and accommodation in general. Are we informed that some places are fully booked 2 years in advance. With this year's accommodation records, we dare not predict the 2025 season. But believe that there may be far greater problems in obtaining accommodation, if the holiday for 2025 is not booked continuously going forward.

The only advice we can give to tourists who are thinking of, or planning a visit to Norway next year. Is to investigate all possibilities in reasonable time, in the relevant areas they want to visit.
We wish everyone a pleasant stay, regardless of where in Norway you spend your holiday, weekend visit or other festive occasions.
