The last week of 2024!

The ski season is now underway and ski tourists at hotels will be transported from airports to the ski slopes and hotels on the mountain.

Some come and some go, there is a shuttle to and from the airport and to various hotels. Hemsedal, Trysil, Rauland, Gaustablikk and Geilo, to name a few. 

In the last rush of the week, the trains also stopped in southern Norway, and the Bergen railway was completely paralyzed. So that buses, minibuses, and taxis drove between Oslo & Bergen, Voss, Geilo, Gol, Flåm and Aurland. The trains were at a standstill from Wednesday morning, 
December 25th, at 08:00 am, to 08:00 pm.

Back then it was good to be a ski tourist, and avoid queues and uncertainty. Sliding down from the mountain to a hot lunch, hot drink, or an ice-cold Christmas beer.. Sitting around the fireplace and just scrolling around on your phone in an escape from reality.

Now there will be a few weeks of steady progress towards the mountains, before winter break in weeks 8 & 9, and hopefully an excellent, busy Easter will set the final sprint for the winter season.
